At DGS, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our Experiential Education Program immerses students in real-world challenges, hands-on projects, and community engagement, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Through outdoor education, research and internships, service-learning, and global partnerships, students apply their knowledge in meaningful ways, developing both academic depth and personal resilience. This approach ensures that DGS graduates are not only well-prepared for university but also equipped to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
A key component of experiential learning at DGS is our Outdoor Education Program, where students embark on transformative journeys such as wilderness excursions, leadership retreats, and sustainability projects. Programs like Outward Bound Vietnam and service-learning initiatives in Sung Do challenge students to step out of their comfort zones, work collaboratively, and engage with diverse communities. These experiences reinforce the DGS values of Community, Character, and Cognition, instilling adaptability, perseverance, and global responsibility.
Additionally, students participate in internships, research projects, and mentorship programs, allowing them to explore career interests, gain professional skills, and contribute to real-world problem-solving. Whether through scientific inquiry, entrepreneurial ventures, or social impact projects, DGS students graduate with a deep sense of purpose, a passion for learning, and the confidence to make a difference. By integrating experiential learning into every aspect of our curriculum, we ensure that students don’t just learn about the world—they actively shape it.
