It all began with the vision and generosity of Mr. David Sonnenberg and his family. Driven by a passion for transformative education and a desire to offer exceptional opportunities regardless of economic background, they set out to create a school that goes far beyond traditional academics. Inspired by the renowned Riverdale Country School in Bronx, New York City—with its emphasis on mind, character, and community—the Sonnenbergs embraced a model that nurtures not only knowledge but also kindness, curiosity and courage. This collaboration laid the foundation for what would become Delta Global School (DGS).

Founded in 2019, DGS was established as a nonprofit independent school for grades 6-12 in Hanoi, Vietnam. From the beginning, our mission has been clear: to empower students to thrive in a rapidly changing world by developing both their academic prowess and their character strengths. Our commitment to holistic education means that every student is encouraged to explore, ask meaningful questions, and grow into a well-rounded, ethical leader.

Choosing Hanoi was a deliberate decision, as its vibrant culture and emerging status as an international hub make it the perfect setting for our ambitious project. At DGS, we are building a diverse, supportive community where talented Vietnamese students can excel academically while staying deeply connected to their cultural roots.
