As the Year of the Snake 2025 came to an end, DGS gathered for a truly special afternoon with our program “Spring of Togetherness - Welcoming the Year of the Horse.” It was a time for teachers and students to set homework aside, share laughter, and feel even more deeply the bond of one big family.

The afternoon began with the five-fruit tray decoration challenge. Each class gathered together, some holding the fruits, some sketching ideas, others carefully arranging every detail, excitedly discussing how to create a display that reflected their own unique spirit.

The atmosphere then softened with a sweet duet by Bảo Hà and Linh Chi. Their gentle voices filled the area, bringing everyone into a calm and heartfelt moment before the energy picked up again. The program moved into a lively Quizizz game about Tết traditions. The entire audience grew more attentive with every question, then burst into cheers and applause when the correct answers appeared on the screen.

The excitement continued with a dynamic modern dance performance by K1. The stage lights mattered less than the sparkling eyes and enthusiastic cheers from friends below. Then, to the sound of lively drumbeats, a secret was revealed - a surprise lion dance performance appeared like a special gift for everyone. Performed by the students themselves, the lion dance captured the entire school’s attention. Perfection wasn’t what mattered most, it was the effort, confidence, and unique charm of each performer that truly stayed with us.

One of the most laughter-filled moments came from Bean Racing. With only chopsticks in hand, both teachers and students skillfully moved tiny beans across obstacles. As the afternoon drew on, the emotions deepened. The warm, acoustic melodies and live singing from the Guitar Club created an intimate and heartfelt musical space. Then, the Dance Club brought the stage to life with vibrant performances set to joyful Tết songs, filling the air with festive energy.

The celebration concluded with a lucky Bingo game. Each number called out brought a hush across the hall, followed by bursts of excitement when someone proudly shouted “Bingo!”, everyone hoping to receive a little good fortune for the new year.

As the sun slowly set, the afternoon came to a close, but the joy lingered on. These shared moments are how DGS stepped into the Year of the Horse,  with connection, laughter, and so much love.
