K1 is DGS’s first graduating class, and the students who have been part of the school since its early days. Starting from the same place, each student is now finding their own way forward, taking their DGS footprints to different parts of the world.

K1 students applied to universities in 16 countries and territories and received offers from top universities in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. They received 41 full-tuition scholarships, with around 71% full-ride scholarships. Across Asia alone, K1 received 66 university offers, including 19 from universities in Vietnam such as VinUniversity, Fulbright University Vietnam, RMIT University, British University Vietnam (BUV), National Economics University (NEU), Thuyloi University (TLU),...

These numbers show that the journey after DGS is not limited to one country, one education system, or one path. Starting from the same learning foundation, students can take different directions based on their strengths, interests, and what they want to pursue.

The destinations may be different, but behind these different journeys is a shared foundation that students have built throughout their years at DGS. AP is an important part of that foundation, giving students the chance to experience a way of learning that involves deep reading, asking questions, building arguments, conducting research, and solving problems at a more advanced level - skills that continue to matter as they move into university. With an average AP score of 4.5/5 in the 2025–2026 school year, DGS students have demonstrated a strong academic foundation and their ability to take on a demanding academic program. More importantly, what they gain from AP goes beyond a single exam. The skills and ways of thinking they develop can continue to support them as they learn, adapt, and grow at university.

At DGS, we do not want to give students a map with their destination already marked. What we want to give each student is a compass: helps them understand themselves, find their direction, and feel confident enough to take their own path forward. Our K1 students have taken their own compasses and set off, each in a different direction. We wish them every success on the journey ahead.
