HALLOWEEN AT DGS: JOY AND FEAR BECOME ONE

Anyone who visits DGS this week would probably stop and stare for a while outside each classroom. Gone are the cozy, familiar learning spaces, in their place stand entire Halloween universes crafted by the students themselves. Walls draped in cobwebs, splashes of red paint, eerie signs, surreal decorations floating midair, and the faint scent of paint filling the hallways.

From a “Haunted Michelin Restaurant” and a “Dark Hospital” to the delightfully strange “Noodle Classroom,” each class tells its own story - spooky, funny, and bursting with imagination. From brainstorming ideas and decorating the space to dressing up as their chosen characters, students worked on every detail themselves, often sneaking in a few finishing touches during every recess.

The Halloween spirit reached its peak yesterday afternoon (October 31) with the much-anticipated Halloween Costume Catwalk, where elaborate, creative, and downright hilarious outfits lit up the stage amid waves of laughter, cheers, and endless applause. Teachers joined the fun too, dressing up, performing, and celebrating alongside their students in true DGS spirit.

The whole school felt like a Halloween movie written and directed by DGS itself, a world where joy and fear blend into one, and the spirit of “We are DGS” shines brighter than ever.
