On October 9, 2026, Delta Global School (DGS) and the Faculty of History and Culture at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH, VNU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on academic and educational cooperation. The signing marks a new milestone in the relationship between the two institutions, opening up opportunities to strengthen connections between K–12 and higher education, particularly in History, the Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Building on Shared Strengths, Expanding Learning Opportunities
The partnership builds on the strengths and expertise of both institutions. DGS brings experience in K–12 education, modern teaching approaches, educational technology, and project-based learning, supported by a team of highly qualified Vietnamese and international educators. Meanwhile, the Faculty of History and Culture at USSH has a long-standing tradition of teaching and research, with experienced faculty members and scholars specializing in history, culture, and interdisciplinary studies.
By connecting these two educational environments, the partnership aims not only to encourage the sharing of resources, experience, and expertise, but also to create meaningful learning opportunities where students can explore knowledge from different perspectives and engage in research and real-world inquiry.
With both institutions sharing an interest in strengthening the connection between K–12 and higher education, the MoU reflects their joint commitment to promoting the study and research of History, the Humanities, and Social Sciences with academic rigor, responsibility, and respect for ethical standards.
Turning Academic Cooperation into Meaningful Learning Opportunities
Under the MoU, DGS and the Faculty of History and Culture aim to develop cooperation across several key areas:
• Supporting student research: Providing DGS students with opportunities to learn research methods and receive academic guidance from university lecturers and researchers. Through these experiences, students can strengthen their skills in finding, analyzing, and evaluating sources, as well as conducting research projects suited to their abilities.
• Expanding university-level learning experiences: Creating opportunities for DGS students to participate in suitable academic activities organized by the Faculty of History and Culture, visit university facilities, and gain first-hand insights into university learning and research environments.
• Strengthening professional exchange and development for teachers: Encouraging the sharing of research experience, teaching methods, and professional development opportunities, helping educators enrich their approaches to teaching History and Social Sciences.
• Co-organizing academic programs and events: Exploring opportunities to organize joint activities such as exhibitions, writing and research competitions, history forums, academic exchanges, and community engagement programs. These initiatives will provide spaces for students, teachers, university lecturers, and researchers to share knowledge and exchange perspectives.
Through these areas of cooperation, both institutions hope not only to enhance the quality of student learning and research, but also to build lasting academic connections between DGS students and educators and the faculty members, researchers, and wider academic community of the Faculty of History and Culture at USSH.
Fostering Research Skills and Understanding Through Diverse Perspectives
Studying History and the Social Sciences goes beyond memorizing facts, dates, and established knowledge. It is also about asking questions, finding and evaluating sources, examining different perspectives, building evidence-based arguments, and developing a deeper understanding of people, societies, and how the world changes over time.
At DGS, providing students with early exposure to university-level academic environments is one way to extend learning beyond the classroom. These opportunities can help students develop critical thinking and independent research skills, while fostering respect for facts, evidence, and differing viewpoints.
The MoU between DGS and the Faculty of History and Culture at USSH therefore serves not only as a foundation for future academic collaboration but also reflects a shared educational vision: bringing students closer to the world of academic research, nurturing their intellectual curiosity, and encouraging them to take an active role in exploring knowledge.
